Make the memories

ValentineCard If you’ve suddenly found Valentine’s Day is upon you and have done nothing about making that memory, then you can send your loved ones flowers or chocolates via the internet now – no matter where they are in the world.

And if the pay check won’t stretch that far this month

you can buy beautiful scrapbooking paper to make a Valentine’s card, for just a few cents. Cut a piece to a little bit smaller than your card. Use stick adhesive to attach it to your card, leaving a little border around the edge – and put the rest away for another time. Cut a little piece of card and write ‘Happy [tag]Valentine[/tag]‘ on it. Edge it with a tiny border of ink dots and lines, or tiny swirls. Stick to the front at a jaunty angle. Add a little ribbon bow or some embroidery floss, if appropriate. Write your message inside and it’s ready. (And don’t forget to photograph your work of art for the [tag]scrapbook[/tag]!)

Or you can check the closet for some gift wrap, or raid the office for a notepad and make a card as Bill did all those years ago (see part 1.)

MoneyTreeSo, whether you’ve got money trees growing by the forest in your yard, or don’t have two pennies to rub together, you don’t need much to show someone your love.

Time and tide waits for no man they say. The days fly past – good and not so good. Some things are transitory; but the memories of precious thoughts and gifts, of time given and love shown, outlast the hard times and remind us that love and companionship are what we were made for.

I pray you will always know you are greatly loved.

Happy Valentine’s Day.
