Digital Scrapbooking Kit: Perpetual Calendar

I made our family calendars this year using Melissa Renfro’s perpetual calendar, a digital layout template.

I found it very easy to use with a large selection of layout plans, some fun little images denoting birthdays, anniversaries and holidays, and ready to use grids for each month. I just had to select the photographs I wanted to use and drop them into the templates, then make sure I chose the correct monthly grid and it was ready!

As all the layers are there, for some months I even swapped out some elements from the layout to either add or subtract an image, depending on how many I required for that month. As I frequently put a photo of the person(s) celebrating in any given month the number present did not always coincide with what I needed.

I chose to go with a simple, uncluttered, white background that I could write on, but you could use patterned paper.

This is not what we’d traditionally think of as a scrapbooking kit, but digital scrapbooking kits come in all sorts of shapes and sizes.

It is not too late for you to have a go if you need a calendar for yourself, a family member or as a gift. It’s quick and easy. The most time consuming part is choosing your photographs! This calendar works beautifully … and being a digital download you can get started in a few minutes!
