Hot off the Press Scoops Awards at the CHA
February 5, 2007 by Genie Balfour
Well, they’ve done it again!
[tag]Hot off the Press[/tag] scooped three awards at the Craft and Hobby Association winter trade show in Anaheim, CA., last week (January 2007).
The Awards for Creative Excellence (ACE) were won as follows:
In the ‘Papercraft’ category …
… for their Cardmaker’s Clear & Frosted Overlays;
The Clear and Frosted Overlays are also available for scrapbookers …
In the ‘Scrapbooking Collections’ category …

… for their Sarapapers ™ and Embellish-Abilities
™ Click on the Sarapapers picture to go to a video describing the products;

… and for their Weekly Webisode in the ‘Technology’ category.
Paulette Jarvey and Sara Naumann are chatty and amusing in each [tag]webisode[/tag]. They very clearly explain how the scrapbook sample pages have been made and the products used. The camera work is smooth, steady and on target - no wrong camera angles to frustrate. As they are usually about 15 minutes long, there’s time to talk without rushing from one item to the next. You’re left with the feeling of having learned at lot and got good advice - not that they’re just selling a product.
In response to many requests (including one from me) they very quickly provided an archive of all their programs so you can see it again when you are ready to make something. Then just a few months ago they included the full instructions for each project shown. Well done Hot off the Press!
I’ve raved about these programs to anyone who would listen to me! So I’m really glad to see them recognized by the industry. A well-deserved win!
We’re adding our own coveted Scrapbooking Gems Sunshine Award to HOTP’s long list of awards for bringing light, creativity and fun to the scrapbooking and card making world.
Well done Hot off the Press!
