Making your first scrapbooking layouts can be daunting, as can visiting your first scrapbooking workshop.
The Millers had been visiting family in Florida and got some great shots of the kids. Morag wanted to use a few of them in her first scrapbook layout which she framed as a birthday gift for her husband.
After scanning the photos to save cutting up the originals, Morag zoomed in on one photo of their three boys taken at Sea World, overlapping it slightly on one of little Sarah playing guitar with her Daddy and added a tiny one of herself and Sarah.

This is Morag’s first scrapbook layout and she was delighted with it.
Amongst the embellishments used are:
- Card & paper from The Paper Mill
- EZ Rub Ons – ‘Miracle’
- K & Co ‘Family’ word panel
- HOTP heart
With four children and lots of photos, Morag hopes to be a regular scrapbooker now. But with so many photographs waiting to be used, she may consider making multiple photo layouts with many of them.
A scrapbooking workshop is a great place to discover new skills. Check with your local scrapbook store to find your nearest one. If you’re new to the craft or the area there are plenty of experienced scrappers who will be happy to help you settle in. If you are an old hand you can share your skills with others keen to learn more.
