Scrapbook Color Schemes are Easier with a Color Wheel
April 9, 2007 by Genie Balfour · 1 Comment
Choosing color schemes for scrapbook pages can be difficult - we’ve spoken about that before so you’ll not be surprised that from time to time we include ideas on how to get help to make it work for you.
In a recent ScrapGirls newsletter there was an extract from the messageboard about choosing color schemes to suit your photos. RoseAnn spoke about how she coped with the difficulty and gave the URL for an online color wheel.
I thought you might find this useful, too, so here is the link: WellStyled online color wheel
This tip will be particularly useful for the digital scrapbookers and web designers among you, but don’t switch off if you are not into computer scrapbooking as it will work for physical scrapbookers too, because ScrapGirls downloads are printable.
I thought it was a great suggestion RoseAnn, thank you; Ro, thank you for drawing our attention to the post. Everything we can do to help each other make great choices for our [tag]scrapbook color schemes[/tag] will result in memorable scrapbook pages that will bless our families.
Why not try it out and let us know how you get on.
Scrapbook Embellishments Add Fun to Scrapbook pages
April 5, 2007 by Genie Balfour · Leave a Comment
There’s a huge variety of scrapbook embellishments but it’s always fun to see new designs.
Scrapbook supplies company [tag]Hot Off The Press[/tag] has a cute range of Brad Buddies TM with themes like camping, romance, and travel. In each pack there’s 2 each of 3 styles of sturdy lightweight metal shapes, and brads to attach them to your project.
Hot Off The Press has recently added dance, music, grad and several others to this fun range.
So how can you dress-up your brads? Scrapbookers can use them to accent your themes. Card makers can use them as a focal point on the front of your cards or as a surprise inside. If you’d like to see some examples of how to use these great [tag]scrapbooking embellishments[/tag] visit the HOTP website

Ellie had seen some excellent examples of digital scrapbooking at various websites and wanted to have a go.
What she didn’t want was to have to splash out just yet to buy one of the photo software programs in case she didn’t like it, so thought she’d cheat and try it out in what she did have and was already familiar with … Microsoft Publisher.
And here is Ellie’s first attempt at a digital scrapbook layout.
